APEX Racer - game demonstrates 3D physics engine called APEX Car Physics Engine.
It simulates the behaviour of the car: accelerating, turning, over- and understeering,
using numerical methods, such as Runge-Kutta 4 and Euler, and Pacejka Magic Formula for tire mechanics.
APEX Car Physics Engine is the first physics JavaScript library which uses advanced numerical
computation and Pacejka MF.
APEX Racer is designed to show "raw" physics, it does not include any adjustments to gameplay.
APEX Car Physics Engine gives best results in WebGL. APEX Racer game was created using Three.js library.
Both projects were done as Master of Science engineer project at Gdansk University of Technology,
Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, Department of Theoretical Physics and Quantum Information,
under the supervision of Patryk Jasik, Ph.D.
